It’s business as usual, as I honor my third choice of extraordinary women that I admire. She is none other than Kandi Burruss-Tucker. Her accomplishments are many: Grammy Award winner songwriter, singer, Broadway actress, and a successful entrepreneur. No ma’am that ain’t it. She’s also one of my favorite housewives on The Real Housewives of Atlanta reality show. Wow, I’m tired just from writing all of this. I don’t know how she does it but she does it damn well. A wife and a mom of 2, Kandi is superwoman. Last but not least, she is a philanthropist…a heart of gold. In my mind, Mrs. Burruss-Tucker is a mini Oprah. A platform for women to achieve entrepreneurship was established through her Bedroom Kandi company. I’m taking notes because I don’t think she’s slowing down anytime soon.

I Mean Business

I mean business as the New Year approaches and every cloud has a silver lining. My motto from this point on. Kandi has inspired me to keep re-inventing myself. I think about to a year ago when I self-published my first book. Becoming an author was my only dream. Once I reached my goal, thoughts of what to do next entered. Blogging was never on the list, in fact I pushed hard against the idea. It took me a year before realizing that I should give it a try. Thinking of Kandi, she would jump right in…fearless in pursuit of business opportunities. Once I figured out how to incorporate my love for storytelling and fashion, I fell in love. Speaking of love, Kand’s Tags Boutique is filled with something for everyone.

Bling Bling

A little bling, bling never hurt anyone. Right before Christmas, I headed on over to Tags Boutique online store. Geesh, if you’re not quick with your fingers you’ll miss out. Those clothes sell out like pancakes. I managed to grab a little silver number called Diamonds Dancing Dress, wrap style. Gorgeous dress, it was sold out in gold and black. You know I had to find a fly pair of stilettos to do this dress justice. My choice, a pair of Betsey Johnson Andi Glitter High Heel from Nordstrom Rack. I’m ready for the New Year and open to exploring opportunities that are waiting for me. Claim it and it shall be yours…self-made. Wishing everyone a prosperous Happy New Year…peace and love.
