My Daughter’s Homecoming; She’s Coming Home To Stay
I talked to my daughter the other day and it’s a homecoming I never expected. She’s decided to transfer to a local University to be closer to home. The timing so not perfect as I prepare to start writing my novel. I need serenity to the utmost degree. I know I may sound a bit harsh but you don’t quite understand. My daughter’s middle name is “chaos.” Is it too much to ask to be whisked away now to an undisclosed location so I can write and eventually finish this book? Seriously, I love her dearly she’s the middle child.
On With Writing
Currently I have a page written and I’ve decided to start it with a bang to give readers a peek into the explosive confrontations that will happen in this book. A snap chat, I mean snapshot of what’s to come, sorry daughter is on the brain. I’m a bit dramatic, guess my daughter gets it from me. I’ll be up to my stilettos in research. I’m guilty of being a perfectionist which equates to the time it’s going to take me to write this book. I think slow and easy wins the race. My daughter will most likely offer her unsolicited advice on putting pieces of the puzzle together, she also has that writing gene. I think it will come in handy when she’s writing tickets as a police officer, her major is criminal justice. She’s actually attending her homecoming dance this weekend, my drama queen.
