Living Out My Fashion Dreams

Have you ever wondered what makes you tick? What gives you pure bliss while you’re doing it? Well, I’m living out my fashion dreams and having the best time of my life. I’ve created my own runway. For me personally, my love for writing and fashion originated from personality traits as a child. Growing up between the ages of five to eight, I loved playing dress up. Diana Ross inspired as you may well know, if you’ve read some of my other posts. Writing would arise from my favorite pastime as a kid…reading. I would get comfortable on my bean bag and cuddle with a book. Imagination is so underrated.

During my adolescent years, I dabbled in drama, drill team, and dance. There was so much excitement surrounding these activities. The adrenaline rush I received was a natural high. Singing found its way into my group of things/activities that put a smile on my face, again Diana Ross inspired. Fortunately, I recently found out that my Great-Grandmother was a performer (dancer). I guess she plays a role in this as well. It’s written all over my Instagram these traits. I’m afraid I’ve left a trail of evidence.

The Writer In Me

The writer in me didn’t emerge until my late twenties. It took a minute for me to embrace it and to realize that I was a writer. The fun part about this entire experience of connecting the dots from my past to now, is knowing that I’m the same girl. What gave me joy then is still replenishing my spirit. It feels good to know that I have those “good ole’ days” with me. I want my readers to do the same, connect the dots and replenish your spirit. That joy, peace, and laughter it’s with you. First things first, I’ve got a show to put on just for you!

Fashion Is Entertainment

Fashion is entertainment! I think that’s the understatement of the year. I spent awhile looking for a sweater dress that wasn’t too heavy. My choice is lightweight and fashionable. Nasty Gal’s belted mini dress in brown is a great fall piece to add to your closet. It wouldn’t be right if I didn’t do this dress justice by picking a fierce pair of heels. Watch out Catwoman! To make my outfit complete, I purchased a pair of Riser Boots by Chinese Laundry from Designer Shoe Warehouse (DSW). The color is brown/black Tiger…gorgeous. I hope you ladies love these fall colors!
