Spring Cleaning the Soul
It’s time for some spring cleaning. I’m not talking about the closets in your homes. I’ve been away for a while writing, social media, and what not and taking notice to some unsettling things going on in the world. Maybe it’s just me. I don’t know if anyone else has taken notice of the surge in bashing that goes on social media sites. I’m suffocating from it. The amount of unsolicited comments or insults that are thrown on any individual’s page is insurmountable. Where is the rage stemming from? There are some people who do this consistently, it has to be draining. To go out of your way to belittle and pass judgement on a person you’ve never met. Who are you to sit so high and mighty and attempt to break another person’s soul? We’ve all made wrong choices and we all have a past. Some of us have our indiscretions on full display willingly and unwillingly but that does not give anyone the right to desecrate a person’s existence.
A New Approach to Spring Cleaning
Spring cleaning of the soul is about about offering words of encouragement and hope instead. There’s so much going on in the world today that I believe kindness is the key. Drop a funny line as a comment; laughter is by far the best antidote against the urge to rain on someone’s parade. A simple “God Bless” would suffice instead of the insidious back and forth bantering that happens as an effect of being negative. Let’s go a step further and take it back to if you don’t have anything nice to say don’t say anything at all. We all were raised as such; to be better human beings.
